KaBoom goes the fireworks...

Woohoo!!! Sunbreeze Festival 2011, ok go!!! (>o<)/)

Took a bit of a break from the game for a while, but the minute it hits about early August, I am ALWAYS back on to participate in this event.

This year's festival will be held from August 2nd thru the 16th.

If you need a cheat sheet for the activities, check out the FFXIclopedia guide.
All other information for the event can be found on the Official FFXI Site.

This year's Sunbreeze Festival special event item is... a Celestial Globe! It is a giant (3x3), blue globe with beautiful twinkling stars... and we all know how much Ari loves sparkley stuff... Yay!!! (\(>w<)/)

SE was also awesome enough to make it where you can craft your own event furnishing this year. So no need to hunt down a high level crafter to make you one... which IMHO is AWESOME! (/praise)

See how big it is... lol.

Before starting ANY of the events this year, make sure you talk to the Event Moogle in town first to flag the event. You will also need to get your new yukata (Hikogami/Himogami) from your 1st round of "10 Dance Syncs" with Uka Totlihn before you can get any of the key items for the globe.

Event Moogles and "Dance Battle" locations have moved since last year.
Event Moogle - Northern San d'Oria (G-8)
Show Location - Northern San d'Oria (D-8)

Event Moogle - Bastok Markets (I-7)
Show Location - Bastok Markets (G-8)

Event Moogle - Windhurst Walls (G-11)
Show Location - Windhurst Walls (H-10)

In order to make the Celestial Globe, you'll need the following key items obtained from each of the festival events (and remember that you MUST have your new yukata equipped).
Cosmic Designs - Obtained from the Event Moogle after the 2nd round of "10 Dance Syncs" with Uka Totlihn
Comet Fragment - Obtained from winning any Hard Mode miniquest
Puny Planet Kit - Obtained from any Goldfish Vendor for 60 points

You will need an earth crystal along with the 3 key items above to successfully craft the globe. Using a Terra Crystal will sign the item. You can also obtain another set of key items after you have crafted the globe.

Last year's Windchimes and new fireworks, Falling Stars, can be purchased from the following NPCs in between the "Superheroine Stage Show" performances:
Bongo - Northern San d'Oria (D-8)
Tango - Bastok Markets (G-8)
Fandango - Windhurst Walls (H-10)

Purchasing fireworks from these NPCs before the performance will give your cheering/clapping a boost when "encouraging" Uka Totlihn to fight.

Falling Stars fireworks.

Also, as a special bonus, any Syncs turned in after obtaining your new yukata and the Cosmic Designs will reward you with a set of fireworks (Goshikitege, Marine Bliss [new], or Shisai Kaboku).

Blue Swimsuits,Orange Swimsuits and Yukatas can still be purchased from Moogle Vendors in Northern San d'Oria (D-8), Bastok Mines (H-8), Windhurst Waters (North/G-10), and Upper Jeuno (G-7).

Anyways... get out there and enjoy the festival already!!!

Trick or Treat...

Awoooo~ Greetings, Ghouls and Goblins! Time to carve your pumpkins, don your spookiest costumes, and gorge on sweets until your teeth rot. Get ready cuz the Harvest Festival 2010 is now creeping throughout the world of Vanadiel.

Due to RL stuffs, I ended up missing the Celestial Nights and Blazing Buffalo events, but it didn't look like they had anything new this year, so all's well... XD;;; This year's Harvest Festival, however, includes 4 new items... and Ari likes new event items. (\(oDo)/)

Each of the three nations has its own spiffy looking candleholder called a Pricket. Compared to last year's Lanterns, these definately look MUCH better, especially regarding the goofy-looking, unoriginal Sandy lantern... =_=. There is also an additional "special" pricket that can be obtained once you have achieved the main 3.

If you would like to participate in the festival, the spooky festivities will take place between October 19th and November 2nd. FFXIclopedia once again has the Guide for the Harvest games. And all other information pertaining to the event can be found on the Official FFXI Site.

Above are last year's Lanterns (left) and this year's Prickets (right).

Jack-o'-Pricket - Can be purchased from San d'Orian Event Moogle.
Djinn Pricket - Can be purchased from Bastokan Event Moogle.
Mandragora Pricket - Can be purchased from Windhurst Event Moogle.
Korrigan Pricket - Must decorate your Mog House with all three nation prickets and wait until Conquest tally. Afterwards, your moogle will reward you with the final pricket.
** There may be complications in obtaining this special item if you already have a Furnishing Quest activated. **

You can still obtain the Trick/Treat Staves, Pitchforks, Pumpkin/Horror Heads, Witch/Coven Hats, and Eerie Cloaks, as well as the Chocobo Stable Warp neck armors, this year, so be sure to get them while you can. Otherwise, you'll have to wait another year until this time comes back around.

Here's hoping that everyone enjoys this year's Halloween event and don't forget to keep checking back for more updates from moi.

Bring on the Fireworks...

Fireworks in San d'OriaThat's right, folks... Grab your yukatas, swimsuits, and goldfish bowls cuz it's time to party hardy across Vanadiel. Sunbreeze Festival 2010 is here!!! Woohoo!!! (\(>w<)/) (/cheer)

I'm not entirely sure why, but everyone always seems to think that I'm slightly weird for enjoying this event as much as I do. I love the outfits, the music, the fireworks, and all the little minigames that you do to get special, "one-time-a-year" items. I really do love this occasion the most. 'Course I also really like the Starlight Celebration (during the winter) because they change the Jeuno music to a Christmas-y version. It's so pretty~ (>w<) But yeah... lol.

For those of you willing to participate in the festival, activities will be held from August 3rd thru the 17th. And in case you're a little confused about what to do, here's the FFXIclopedia guide for the all of the events. All other information pertaining to the event can be found on the Official FFXI Site

This year's Sunbreeze Festival brings a new item collection to our Mog Houses... Windchimes! For each of the nations, there is a bell that will ring for a game hour at designated times during the day. They are quite similar to windchimes as the ringing is kind of sporadic (no melody) due to a magical gust of wind surrounding the bell.

You can see each of the chimes on the left most side in the front row.

Sandy - Carillon Vermeil (10:00-11:00) - Obtained from Event Moogle after Synchronizing 10 times with Mumor
Bastok - Aeolsglocke (13:00-14:00) - Obtained from any Hard Mode miniquest (MUST already have Carillon Vermeil)
Windy - Leafbell (16:00-17:00) - Obtained from Goldfish Vendor for 60 points

The Blue Racial Specific Swimsuits (+1) can be obtained by successfully completing any Normal Mode miniquest from any of the three nations. And the Orange Swimsuits and Yukatas can be purchased from Moogle Vendors in Sandy, Bastok, Windy, and Jeuno.

Closet Yukata TimeAnyways... I hope that everyone will enjoy the festival to the fullest and keep checking back for more updates from yours truly.
